Lieksa Brass Week is one of the world\u2019s most prominent brass music festivals. Every summer, the greatest masters of brass music from around the world gather in the small town of Lieksa to perform, meet one another, and, most importantly, teach talented young musicians from around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stunning acoustics and pristine nature<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The main venue for the Lieksa Brass Week concert series is the masterpiece of architects Reima and Raili Pietil\u00e4, Lieksa Church, whose acoustics are unparalleled and whose beauty delights the eyes of hundreds of concertgoers every day of the festival. The festival\u2019s other main venue, the Brahe Hall at the Lieksa Cultural Center, is a 400-seat modern concert hall with excellent acoustics for brass music, located in the heart of Lieksa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The uniqueness of Lieksa Brass Week is highlighted by the vast wilderness surrounding the town, including Koli National Park and Lake Pielinen, one of Finland\u2019s largest and cleanest lakes. At Lieksa Brass Week, you can pause amidst the quiet wilderness to experience culture, spend time with friends, and meet new people.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Brass Week brings together brass music enthusiasts and top musicians for a diverse and surprising program. During the week, highlights include a gala concert at City Hall, an atmospheric evening concert in the church, and an energetic park concert where young brass players and professional musicians perform together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There will also be inspiring masterclasses, workshops, open rehearsals, instrument tryouts for children, and pop-up performances throughout the city. The program features both traditional brass music and new compositions and arrangements. Brass Week offers unique experiences powered by brass and invites people of all ages to enjoy the music!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
